IOF alliance

The IOF alliance is a consortium for focussed research involving three national academic and research bodies – the Indian Stem Cell Study Group (ISCSG), the Orthopaedic Research Group and FEIORA (Fellowship) wing of the Indian Orthopaedic Rheumatology Association. The conglomeration was the result of the vision to develop and follow strong research methodologies and find regenerative solutions to common orthopaedic problems.

2021 Research Framework

The theme for research in 2021 is “Miraculous MSCs”. The aim is to explore the potential of MSCs as regenerative treatment tools, examine their effect in various clinical conditions, and arrive at the evidence-based conclusion on their usefulness in day-to-day practice, keeping in line with our fundamental principle of enabling translational research. Currently, the research is being undertaken on 20 different topics involving MSCs.

2022 Research Framework

The theme for research in 2022 is “Predictable PRP Results”. The aim is to explore the factors that govern the effect of PRP when employed for regenerative treatments ranging from subjective factors to process variables. We aim to understand the methods of its action and present methods to make their effects more predictable. Currently, the research is being undertaken on 5 different topics involving the biology and action of PRP in various musculoskeletal disorders.
